The Buckeye State has a lot to offer when it comes to ghosts, goblins and spooky places. So, when planning your Ohio witchcraft itinerary, don’t forget to include these scary places on the list:
If you have even a passing interest in Witchcraft, magic, spells and hexes, then your Ohio witchcraft itinerary will include an educational component to your field of interest. And there’s no better way to understand everything there is to witchcraft than by visiting the museum.
Owner, and leader of the Long Island Coven, Raymond Buckland has accumulated a wealth of historical artifacts and collectibles, including ceremonial witchcraft objects, occult paraphernalia and other oddities. Some of these items come from a collection started by Buckland’s mentor Gerald Gardner, also known as the father of “Gardnerian” Wicca”, who inherited them from his father.
Visitors to the museum will see up-close items dating back to the Salem Witch Trials, a collection of “ushabtis,”, which are Egyptian funerary figurines used in spells and rituals back in the day of the Pharos, and many other bewitching items owned by fortune tellers, astrologers, pagan clergy members and magicians.
The museum offers a range of guided tours, workshops and events conducted by practitioners and experts in the art of witchcraft and magic. But when you do visit, make sure you spare time to see the Demon in a Box – a real demon that Buckland captured with the help of a ceremonial magician back in the 1970s.
