Hope you are well … wanted to share this with you. It is very important for people of color to know about vitamin D. Some of you may know, that I am a practicing herbalist for 10 years now…❤️I put together some simple tips that everyone can follow to protect and build health during these challenging times. ❤️❤️❤️

❤️People of color are at higher risk because of their Vitamin D deficiencies…

1. You need sunshine on your skin, everyday for 2 to 3 hours. Not through glass, like windows at home or in your car/truck. Vitamin D is needed to protect and heal your body. Especially right now. The darker your pigment of skin, the longer you need to be out in the Sun. The best time to make Vitamin D with the Sun is from 10 am to 2 pm.

2. Vitamin C from food sources. Eating 1 tablespoon of Sauerkraut a day is all the Vitamin C you need. Baked potatoes/skins are another good source. Limit sugars from fruits as this lowers your immune system for up to 5 hours. Stay away from Vitamin C powders as this will harm your kidneys and bone health down the road.

3. You need 8.5 hours of sleep every night. Even if you cannot sleep that long, get up and get something to eat/drink…then go back to bed for the full 8.5 hours. You can watch tv, read or use laptop… just make sure your laying down.

4. DO not use aspirins of any kind. NSAIDS make the virus shed cells faster and live longer. This includes Advil, Ibuprofen, Tylenol and even baby aspirins.
